I thought to post a few pics of my EDC setup. It started off with a black "Clawhammer" shoulder bag to replace my vulnerable "fanny-pack" hip bag. (And addition to a decent hip-bag to the 1TG range of bags would be wonderfull!) I soons added the "phone-pouch 014" (My iPhone 7 plus with Lifeproof case fits tightly.) to the bag and then the "glasses case 04" followed. (This really gives awesome protection to my Serengeti glasses.) I noticed that the carry-handle of my main bag had some abrasion to it (Andy immediately sent me a replacement-bag!) and this started my paracord addition to the bag that just snowballed to the braiding that has been done to it now...I find the braiding makes for a much more comfortable handle and the shoulder-strap is much softer with the added braiding. (A note here: the shoulder strap folds onto itself at the tapered ends under my braiding allowing it to become somewhat loose - I'm working to fix this with the addition of some firmer material there or I might replace the whole strap with a braided one. In the pics you will also notice I added a d-shackle rated for climbing and fall protection. I think it looks good and adds just one more "function" to my bag. You might also notice I have replaced the zipper-pulls with something different. (feel free to ask how to do this.)

You guys are welcome to ask me about what I carry IN my bag, but this can also be a topic for a new post.

I'm not sure if you guys know how my braid is tied so I thought of making a few pics to show the basic idea of the braid.
I mostly use Paracord 550 Type 3. (You may try paracord.eu for great service --- I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post URL's so my appologies if this is not allowed --- I have no affiliation with the company so it is not promoting just a handy link.)

Feel free to ask about braiding these handles or about the monkey-fist or axe handle you saw in my EDC pictures.

I'm busy with my second sling-bag at this very moment. I had a telephone pouch in multi-cam and a black sling-bag which did not really match to I decided to bring them together using some multi-cam paracord. tell me what you think.

Okay I think I have the problem with the strap folding under the braid: I shaped some plastic to fit between the braid and strap to prevent it from folding on it self.

Oh boy, while I was busy with my sling-bag I found one of the molle-retaining straps is starting to ravel-out....this is on the telephone pouch attached to the bag. I do not think it is all too serious, but something not expected. Guys at 1TG can you look into this? it would be bad should this problem happen to a non devoted 1TG member...;)

While I'm busy with my set-up - a few lows....this focusing on the "Doppleganger" pouch:

As in the pictures: the white stitching....can you please replace that with black on the black pouch?
And then the front telephone holder: the bottom corners of the telephone are exposed and very vulnerable in this pouch - can you widen the bottom flap to cover the corners, please? (In the picture it is where my finger indicates.)

Not exactly an EDC but I’m busy playing with a new survival knife/ hatchet/ carver idea and thought you guys might give some input before I start polishing and finalising this.

Tnx, I must admit that it fits nicely to your hand and seems to work for what I intended.
To figure our a pouch for it might proove interesting...

Speaking of which, I saw a very good idea for carrying an axe. Maybe this can be incorporated as a Molle attachment for on a belt, webbing or a bag?
(As per the picture, just a ring made of either nylon or in this case Stainless Steel. The axe handle just slips through the ring and the axe hangs secure on the ring...)

That would be a great thing to have! I ordered the padded belt with webbing with the thought of attaching pouches for a “Bushcraft” belt. Of course an axe would be required. I’ll post pics when I have everything set up.

Yay, please do that!
I use a small “camp-hawk” as camping axe And can not complain about how it works!

As promised heee is a pic of my set up. Main bag is the Clawhammer with a Dopplganger pouch mounted via Molle on my he strap above the bag. On the right is the Grenade water bottle carrier that carries my water bottle and purification. On the left is the general water bottle carrier which has my cook pot and other cooking gear. I plan on replacing this carrier with the Dragon claw that I have on order. The bungee cord on the front is big enough to fit the thermal blanket.
