Hello!

Having a larger size hammock, something like 11ft/3.35m long, and 66in/1.67m wide, would be a much better option for us taller users. I like the Kompound but it has proven to just be too short and too narrow for me so I've swapped out to an 11ft hammock that is 66-68in wide -- I am able to lay diagonally, which is more comfortable. Add a fully zippable bugnet, three guylines per side to pull out the hammock, like seen here: https://1tg.onetigris.com/index.php?threads/kompound-hammock-mod.859/post-14218, and this would be an awesome hammock for people who need more room.

I'm still trying to convince my wife to use the Kompound, but she's scared of hammocks. :D

You are not the frist user to request a longer hammock. I already told our hammock designers and ask them to take this point in consideration when designing the new hammock. No worries.

Awesome, Andy, thanks. I like that 1TG has good quality gear at reasonable prices. I bet that many folks would not mind paying more for a larger Kompound. One other thought: if the larger hammock is being designed, if the wider version could be made of one piece of wide fabric rather than having multiple panels stitched together then that would make it even more attractive, as the stitched panels can cause calf ridge and feel uncomfortable.

Another new thought: a double layer Kompound so insulation like an air pad or sheet of reflectix or a closed-cell foam pad can be slipped between the layers for additional heat retention.

Submitted as well. Based on the situation I know it's quite hard to do so as the width of the fabric is fixed. To achieve the size we prefer, it always need to stitch several pieces together.

We are doing a hammock and under-quilt combination product with one of our partners. which is similar to the features you mentioned. We use zippers to connect them to make the set up easier and you can change the under quilt based on the temperature. There has 3 season/winter 2 options.

just jumping onboard here, i have been lurking around for the kompound for the winter but it seems a bit to short for my liking (180cm / 6feet). A bigger version would definitelly be a no brainer for me, especially with the twilight trekker or the new solution you mention.
Any chance for an ETA about that?
