Wow, wait...you’re a GIRL? 😳
I’m at the same point - zero Airsoft experience, but as in most any combat scenario, it is 80% attitude that wins the fight and not gear.
My advice from the field would be to go light, safe: keep your kit simple at first untill you learn what you need and what is just gimmick.

Haha! Surprise right! It is really difficult to be both cool and safe in airsoft for the first-goero_O

You can include me when I win that trip to 1TG headquarters 😝
Yes I’m interested to start, but as usual with all my interests it stands in dark light to tge up-tight Dutch laws - there really is so nany rules here...
Starting would be cheap though if I use my old combat gear hidden in a dark corner 🤨
Look at the gorgeous canvas harnasses and browns we used in the good old days! 😁

I cannot believe you made it out alive using Pouches with buttons and not zippers or buckles!!! It's a miracle! Dude are those photos from the 70's? Mean looking war paint. Is that you carrying the RPG?

Been wanting to post on this for a bit but got super busy with work and wanted to do some photos and such to show what may or may not be on an airsoft chest rig or even real steal. Every person runs their chest rigs different and really up to them. I have changed mine multiple times with how I have changed either game style or with what I would like at the time. I have changed my plate carrier 3 times so far and with this setup I want to make a couple changes still.

Personally I like a light plate carrier. First of if you use a plate carrier of any type make some firm inserts or buy the dummy plates to keep it firm so gear doesn't sag. Its comfortable and light although I wish it had some mounting points on the side. This is where the radio is and luckily 2 inch strap and molle goes in increments of 1" so was able to put my radio at my side front were I have access to it in case I need to change channel since I and others use dual channel radios. This was also one of my latest changes of position and finally got my antennae extension wire so that radio is front but antennae is on my back out of my way. Rifle mags on front with a couple spare on my right side. All in access of my left arm for reloads. I may change back to 3 mags on front but setup more like a ronin style with the 4 at this time but most usually have just the 3 mags. above that on front is my shotgun shell pouch which I am using for co2 for my rifle. This is one of the items that was suggested in design with us for a smaller pouch out of the way. Because of how bulky it is sort of in the way of my mags and want to clear that area up a bit. At this time I would not wear this on my battle belt and really as you can see why I just want a 4 pack of co2 in which that all we really need. At this time its 6 co2 and using only 1 row and have my kill rag in there. On my left side have 2 pistol mags. This is an other item I want to change to get rid of the velcro but those mags are not cheap and waiting for a pouch that is open top that I have faith in retaining my mags. On the right side 2 smoke canisters. Moving to my back is my dump pouch. Think I may change that up to a smaller foldable one but due to open locations to attach molle that is what I use now. On the back of the battle belt most players could put other gear due to I carry an hpa tank for my rifle. So that could be whatever you like there. On my right side for the battle belt is clear due to I use a low profile drop leg panel with my holster at this time. May change to an other companies holster but at this time really like this setup. I personally don't like drawing from the hip and prefer a bit lower. This panel isn't as low like some other panels so works perfectly. For my hydration I got a 1.5L bladder setup in which this one fits perfectly on a light plate carrier. Rest is just wire management with my coms, spare smoke on back and mag if in a team and they want to put a mag on my back. Due to d-rings on my battle belt I use mod straps to attach my plate carrier to my belt. This is just for extra redundancy and support. Something i also learned is to have a plate carrier with side molle that is minamilist

K so as mentioned want to make some changes.
1. Need a better co2 pouch that is low profile and smaller. If there was a 4 co2 pouch like discussed in the other thread then I would have that top front with a kill rag pouch beside it. Would be alot better.
2. I want to carry a side mag and was the reason I designed that slip on molle sleeve. Add that molle sleeve attach the radio and put a spare mag on it. The radio works fins since its compact and small on that 2" strap but when you try and do that with a mag it just flops around and is an issue and thus the originating idea for the molle sleeve which can work on other items as I have shown.
3. smaller dump pouch
4. Change up pistol mag pouches for open top. (to bad mag pouch 08 from 1TG doesn't come in OD because with the shock cord to hold in mags is exactly what I am looking for and majority of companies don't have that retaining strap to hold the mag in).

Anyways my setup and just some ideas for ya. It is really up to you how you want to set it up.

...some pouches even had straps holding tgem closed 😜
NopeI made sure I’m not in any pic.
In the 90's when we wore h-strap harness system similar to what you showed we also had pouches with plastic square loops attached to the pouch and the flap folded over and then a strap went thru. Very few items at that time had snaps or buckles.

Wow, this is soooooo cool cuz information and guidance are soo enough for new player like me! Also I start following some famous girl airsoft player but seems like nothing much different between male and female regarding airsoft gear, but I'm not quite sure about it

I am assuming Unicorn Leah. She has some good guides and some good setups.

And no there is no difference in gear between male and female. Choose what works for you and set it up. :)

So an other example how we evolve with gear and such. I mentioned wanted to switch out my pistol mag pouch. Finally my local shop got in some Glock 17 mag holders. Continually switching up and setting up to your preference. I continually say its addictive lol.

It's true, run what works for you and consider the pro and con of your potential decisions. Plate carriers reduce the feel of a BB and you have to listen for your hits. You will also have to invest more money buying satchels and add on pouches for nades and mags. I run a Condor Modular chest rig. I have the ability to hold 6 mags, and can add pouches to hold more mags or nades. I have an admin pouch that mounts on your chest that you can remove. You can mount a camera to it, it will hold your camelbak, has a pull tab on back. COVERED in MOLLE. It's basically everything I wanted, with more mobility. Plate carriers can lead to reduced mobility, being that some are especially bulky.

So compared to chest rig, a plate carrier is more stable? cuz personally I am not a strong build, would prefer something more stable.

Actually I think for most people a modular chest rig works best and saves you money. Plate carriers will add bulk, reduced movement, costs more in pouches and requires you to have a camelbak hydration pouch and bladder to mount on back. My chest rig has a built in pocket for my hydration bladder.

So as mentioned again lol change change change. So imi z2300 for holster now, cytac magazine holsters and using the 1TG co2 prototype along with Molle/Pals adapter on the side which is very discreet but holds my radio, extra mag and a smoke grenade. Think now I pretty much have my setup and got it as low profile as possible while carrying all the items I need.

Inventory:
1) Radio, ptt and coms
2) Pistol and lanyard
3) 4 120rds mid cap Magazines
4) 2 70 rd mid cap magazines
5) 2 pistol mags
6) 3 smoke grenades
7) 4 co2 cartriges
9) dead rag
10) air tank for hpa
11) 1.5L water
12) 1 light stick
