USER REVIEW Backwoods Bungalow

Thought I’d lost a few pics of my Backwoods Bungalow (version 1) set up with no poles or trekking poles. A ridgeline and guylines were used, everything else was stuff found in the Bush. By the way if you want are interested in different types of ridgeline, find a hammock forum or talk to someone who hammocks regularly. The ridgeline I used was dyneema line and noma claws to fasten the shelter to the ridgeline.

It will be more harmonious if the color of zipper is darker and close to the color of the tent. Overall ver. 1.0 is pretty cool.

I am biting at the bit to try the bungalow. I can see myself setting up winter camp and knowing the quality of products this could be what I am looking for.

The 2.0 has a few changes to it, but either one should work.

I would usually set up my shelter on a bed of straw that is laid thick. Not sure How that would work with a bottom in the bungalow

It’s tough material but relatively thin. I wouldn’t think there would be an issue though, I’ve set up mine in a forest and nothing has punctured through yet.

Thanks Dean. I am more concerned with dragging camp mud and crap into a tent with a bottom. I think a lot of people don't realize how muddy and dirty a winter camp can become. If I am able I put down straw in much of the camp area, it seems to help keep the ground colder and the mud is not as bad.
