Just thinking out loud..
So looking at the Tegimen, its basically a wall tent.. No offence but people have been throwing hammocks through wall tents for decades even in old western movies you'll see hammocks swinging inside wall tents.. what is unique about it is for all intended purposes a really light weight wall tent If you made a 6 pole set, 3 for each side you basically made a wall tent under 10 pounds. Since most are 40 pounds and up..
Then you appeal to a whole different market of hunters and backwoods runners. So basically add a pole set and add the words wall tent and you are done.

Oh and someone forgot the point between the 6 and the 8 on the site.. it says 68lb not 6.8lb
Have a good one all..

Good points. Also there was a suggestion on the forum about adding an extra six inch add on piece at the bottom for taller folks. Perhaps a better solution would be to make it six inches taller and if there is excess material it could be be “folded” and provide a snow skirt.

The only problem i could see with that is im sure its already in production. Do to pre-orders being sold. maybe on the second run. I always look at it as what can be added to existing product.. clip on snow skirt could definitely help but I suppose you could put a tarp on the inside as well.. all great ideas and conversations though.

Yeah, I was thinking version 2. You’re pole suggestion makes sense for a couple of reasons, adding some rigidity/stability in case of overnight snow load. Also putting a stove inside a nylon shelter, you want to be 100% sure that the side wall isn’t going to move and come in contact with the stove.

Am I the only one who has been getting the run around with the pre-order? Delays, delays, delays, then they say it's shipped.. then canceled by Onetigris.. now they say that they are on spring break??? WTF?

Mine arrived literally 5 minutes ago.

Also, Chinese New Year.. always keep it in mind when ordering stuff from overseas.

Hello all, our sincere apologies for the delays. All the pre-orders for the TEGIMEN were shipped out from our China warehouse approximately 12 days ago, with tracking info sent through email. If you haven't received any order shipment info, please provide your order number or the email address used for placing the order to support@onetigris.com and we'll check the shipment status for you!

Thanks for the help, still patiently waiting for my preorder. Andy did update my tracking information, but looks like mine made it to the USA, but then shipped BACK to Japan....totally confused, tempted to order off the website now that it’s NOT a preorder.....any suggestion welcomed. Appreciate you!

Sorry for the inconvenience it caused. I checked and your order was delivered on 27th FEB. It got stuck in Japan for 13 days. Most of the users received the packs after 5-7 days. Delay occured ocassionally.

To the gift, we provided an extra stove jack in the pack so totally there will be 3. 2 are on the tent. Please confirm if you get them all. Please let us know if you didn't. Again sorry for that.

So the doors are the same on each end of the tent? Make a attachment to connect 2 of these tents together

I thought I had finally found the holy grail, a wall tent light enough to pack.
I thought, I will buy this immediately, I thought, this company is going to make a fortune etc.
I thought, but its made in China, you know it will be rubbish
I thought, but its so simple, what could go wrong?
I thought, I will just read the reviews of people who have actually got one
Sure enough my excitement at finally getting something like this disappeared instantly
Its so simple, what could go wrong?
The bloody thing is not even waterproof!
Made in China badly, as usual....
So disappointing, really really wanted this

Thank you for honest review. I was waiting to hear from someone who has it in hand. I have been holding off on ordering. It's too bad.

Hi TroyCA,

Thanks, I hope you are well.
This is the first thing I have posted on the internet for years, and will probably be the last for years,
but my frustration at just how close they had come to producing a great product inspired me to write.

There is only one basic requirement of a shelter......
It should SHELTER you from the rain.
If you wake up in the early hours and you, your clothes, sleeping bag, hammock are soaking wet because the people that made it, thought it was unimportant to seam seal the most important seam on the product properly (the ridge seam) the end result is the conclusion that all Chinese products are not worth buying.
This is such a shame as they came so close with this. I believe there is huge market for what they almost produced.
Real woodsmen that spend a lot of time in the wild, that want more space, without much more weight, in a packable inexpensive format.
Unfortunately they are probably unaware of the existence of this potential huge market sector as the fact that these people are adults, not facebook generation, and usually (or never) post things on the internet, these days probably makes them invisible to companies.
A word to the wise to manufacturers............
There is huge market waiting for you, people that spend far more time in the wild than your usual customer base, they have far more disposable income than your usual customer base, and they have far more experience of what they want, and what works.
People that do not spend much time on the internet, staring at phones etc.
This is such a simple fix, no re-tooling or great expense necessary, just seam seal the ridge seam (properly) and you have a winner. The unique selling point of this shelter is that it is inexpensive, and for that reason people will not expect high quality materials etc, but it must, I repeat, MUST meet its basic requirement of being seam sealed and waterproofed properly.

I honestly believe that with this fix, done properly, you will sell more of this design than all of your other products put together. You dont see us, because we dont care about the internet, but we are out there, in every forest, and we have money to spend.....
