Whats The sole purpose for the stove heating cooking? If heating going to have reduce airflow in , will burn super hot but really fast you currently have a rocket stove type setup great for hot fast cooking but not so good for long term heating. A removable face with adjustable sliding damper would help to control burn and allow to be used as a fast burner.

Some great questions! There are several similar type stoves on the market depending on what you are looking for. G-stove was and still is very popular with hot tenting, Work Tuff ( I believe out of Taiwan) is emerging as a competitor. Kni-Co , Luxe and Seek Outside all have stoves that fold up and are more compact. As well there are some smaller cottage type (individuals) businesses that are making stoves that break down into a small package and are made out of titanium.

Roc this was a double wide pocket style stove I designed.
Have you guys ever met the material of the tent got melt when in the hot tent? Is the height of the stove the reason of it?
Not necessarily the height of the stove, probably more the location and proximity to the tent. The stove jack deals with the heat going out of the chimney, but you can’t have the stove too close to the edge of the tent either. That’s why most hot tents run floor less with an optional zip in or tie in floor.

Some people who use canvas hot tents have welding blankets or metal deflectors in place to deflect the heat away from the sides of the tent.
