Noticed that this new tent is already listed for sale. I think there are a few things that should be done in order for it to work properly. There needs to be a “snow skirt” or extra layer of material around the the bottom for piling up snow. Also you can’t have just a hole for the chimney to exit the tent. The heat from the fire will melt the fabric.

If you close the bottom off completely the stove might not draft properly, do you mean on the inside like a traditional teepee?

Hi Dean~Actually the tent itself could not resist the heat directly from the stove pipe, but every stove will come with a stove jack which needed to be installed by the campers to prevent damaging the tent as well as protecting snow and rainfall from the outside.
The tent was designed as a multi way setup tipi, meaning it can be used as a normal tent but also a winter teepee for campers when the double peg leg is set. I will show you in the following picture of the double peg leg which could "create" a snow skirt for snow pilling.

Hi Dean~Actually the tent itself could not resist the heat directly from the stove pipe, but every stove will come with a stove jack which needed to be installed by the campers to prevent damaging the tent as well as protecting snow and rainfall from the outside.

Oh I see. So it is better to clarify that the stove jack is not included?

One of the most popular tent stoves (G stove) has a chimney diameter of just over 2 inches.

yeah exactly Dean, thats what I'm trying to do. I have a tent stove already bought it for a different project that got put on hold, but would work with this tent, just missing some crucial info.
