Awesome designs!!! I don't know how you keep the bag folded but the grenade is BAD-ASS!!! Freakin Awesome Man!
If you look at Sanspoor’s thumbails, the first one system could be similar to the “Grenade bag”, there’s a little cord in the left corner (it’s actually the storage pocket) that keep it closed with a little “slip-on button”. The “storage could be in the corner (like the lemon bag) and you would see the granade on the bag corner, or you could make the storage bag with “logo pocket” (the “inside” of the pocket have a grenade patern and you push the bag into the pocket space over-under to make the grenade, you tie or zip the pocket to keep it close)

Haha i really hope Onetigris will go foward with this idea, i really want to throw these bag in the shopping cart and say: “Fire in the hole!” or “Grenadddeee!”😂

I have a big bag made from old rain poncho, it’s awesome. We call it the “Cotsco Army bag”! I’ve put some heavy stuff (30 bottle of water pack, 2x12 Pepsi cans, flour bags) in these and they are still holding nicely! (It’s actually the inspiration for the big bag concept up there)

I know they work. I mean even the ones we had that would fit a 30 pack cube perfectly held up for a good period of time being hauled in and out of shopping cart, car trunk, elevator, house, animals, etc. Main issue was having so many b/c wife would forget. I'd say conservatively a good 2 to 3 years before the handles snapped and that was using the bags well above there weight limits and abusing them. I'd assume if 1TG did a bad the handles would be attached a lot better, creating a better bond. Then it depends on the material used. Some of the handle breakage was really bag material ripping and not the handle at all. Since we had a million bags we had a bunch of different types. Haha!!!! I never thought I'd know a grocery bag as intimately. Haha!!! If they made it out of material it would be around for years.

What i always misses on these shoping bags is a zipper to close it so smal items don't spill around when it's put down. On a bag the size of @Heimdall82's there should be room to put one in. It will be hard on a smaller bag that packs in to a smal pocket (the granade design).

The bad thing i see about zipper is it’s compress the top of the bag and it didnt hold as much as an “open top bag”! But you can always leave it open if needed!

Another thing is... the more items you put to create something, cost raise too! They are shhopping bag, people arent gonna buy them if they cost too much! 🤔

Not having a zipper means you don't have the option to close it. With a zipper you can, as you point out, always leave it open if you need to. There are multiple options to put zippers so they are out of the way when not used.

The cost will raise, I agree. For a more versatile bag, it will be worth it, I think.

Nah, keep it simple.

Andy and Rin, this shopping-bag WILL also work as attachment to the bicycle carrier:

If you design 4 plastic or nylon clips that can clip onto the molle of the bike-carrier - just small and simple u-clips, this bag can hook onto the bike-carrier and can be attached or unhooked very easily!

How about adding a MOLLE panel inside. so you can attach different gear in it according to your preference.

Yeah I mean if you did Molle webbing on inside and then attached pouches you'd basically lose your bag space very quickly kind of defeating the purpose and then making it really difficult to get to your pouches. Even if you did Molle webbing on the outside you'd start turning the shopping bag into a bazaar caravan if you can picture that in your head. It would screw up weight distribution, etc. I'm with @Heimdall82 that the design currently is for a basic shopping bag. Let the designer speak here, but this is one where I believe less is more. My experience with these bags is they stand up on there own based on the material they are made out of. Now if they are made out of the same fabric material as the pouches and other products then the bags would not automatically stand up on there own. If losing items out of the top is a concern maybe there is a simple Velcro strap that can be attached or some pre-attached cords that you can tie or use one of those one finger press button plastic fasteners for example. These seem a lot easier and cheaper than a zipper. But this is @Heimdall82 design ultimately until 1TG definitively jumps in so we should be supporting his vision & trying to help improve his design if possible. If he says no we need to move forward and see if there are alternative ideas to present. That's how successful collaboration works, for example the new tool roll that just officially launched.

So today @Andy Z. made another creation on the shopping bag.
We want to make it a good that's worth buying by giving it more functions:

This is basically a shopping bag with sturdy material like BigT mentioned that could make it stand up.
And it could fold up to reduce the volume if it is needed. Therefore u could have a smaller shopping bag instead of a bulky one.
With side mesh bag, you could place wet stuff in it like umbrellas to keep your things in the shopping bag dry.
Two side handles allowing you to attach the bag to the cart firmly.

What do you guys think of this creation? Could this be a shopping bag that you'll never forget to take with next time when you are going to shopping?

Forgot to mention that the yellow part of the handle is velcro so that when the bag is fully extended, the strap could attach to the bag itself.

It is a nice idea, but taking away from the shopping bag theme. This is beginning to look like a beach-bag.

Well... if you an sell this bag under 10$, why not! But i’m pretty sure it will turn around 30$ with all these features! I will talk for myself (but i’m sure a lot of people will agree), i will never buy a “shopping bag” that cost more than 10$, whatever how awesome it’s look or solid it is! It’s a shopping bag, a bag that i leave in my car’s trunk, throw in my shopping cart or put in my backpack just in case i go to the store... why i will never pay more than 10$ for them? Because even if they are “multiple usage bag.”, if my jug of milk, crate of eggs or even meat “juice” soak the bag, i will thrown it away and buy a new one....or try to wash it if i really love it! And that’s why i really like having a “waterproof fabric” (like silnylon or rain poncho fabric), because its easy to wash! (Even with the garden hose).

I understand you want to create new products... but some products are hard to redesign... and a shopping bag is a shopping bag... i dont want molle on it decause i dont need it... i dont buy tactical milk jug with molle attachements... i put things “in” th bag, not around the bag... i would not add pouch on it also because they will be harder to stack in the car trunk...or i will probably stuck and bang the pouch everywhere when walking. I dont want mesh pocket on it because i will probably lose what i’ve put inside or even worse, get robbed by pickpockets!

Like Sandspoor said... it’s more a beach bag now than a shopping bag... but i would not take an “open top” bag at the beach...it’s a good way to be robbed and a better way to bring sand and bugs at home....

And the last thing... it’s look like the bottom is rigid, and that’s a problem for me if i want to put it in my backpack... its will be bigger than a book when flat and a lot of packs will be too small to carry it!
