When I have been in the arctic, one thing I have often done is to boil water for my dehydrated food, pour it into the ouch then insulate the pouch while i get on with other work. I normally store the pouch in a paded envelope to keep the heat in. How about a padded/insulated pouch for the same purpose? This can be used for all sorts of dehydrated foods in any location.

Tons of those thermal food bags on the market but maybe one that had molle on it to carry on your backpack and had the ability to be reusable and washable. Something like what they bring pizza in but smaller.

I know what you mean also about the mailers since they actually have thermal envelopes for keeping hot or cold for medical and other things when mailing. Ever look at the u-line thermal bags? U-line has the thermal envelopes as well.

Wow, not really relevant but do you have any pictures to share in the general discussion section? Sounds wild!

I think he means something like the first pouch you linked but inside some type of thermal material like used in those silver thermal blankets as a liner inside to keep heat in and keep his food warm. Maybe he could draw up some pics with some measurements for what size he would want it and the features on it.

Yeah I agree but for the shape of the pouch, I think it will be more like a cuboid cause it's to carry food. If it's the first pouch @Editor attached, the space will be not enough.
