I was just looking on the web site to see the different options for harnesses. (Considering one for my dog) I think it would be a great idea to have a chart made, maybe with two or three main measurements to see what harness would fit your dog, and if there is more than one option.
I don't have a dog but have shown some friends the dog gear and one of them mentioned how do they know what will fit their dog since they have a tiny tiny dog lol. So think this is a good suggestion to have a page on the website that charts all the dog item sizes instead of having to go page to page to see the sizing of it.

Re-sorting the sizes and charts is an ongoing process; for now each is still separately made with its own unique structure and varying measurements. We hope to one day not have to trouble folks through re-measuring whenever we release a new design so that y'all can stick to the same size for all 1TG gear.

What I was thinking is if a person took two or three key measurements ie. length and neck and then compared them to a chart they could see what options were available. Right now you have to look at the picture and decide if your dog is comparable in size to the one in the picture. How does a person decide which harness might be the best fit?

My dog is around 90 pounds, he’s not huge or small, if We took all the breeds and put them together I’d say he’d be a large. I ordered the large but it is just a bit too big, he has used it everyday rain, snow or sun. It is fantastic. One time my son fell off his bike and I parked mine to go check on him and I look and the dog is next to me, he pulled out of the harness he was hooked to on the bike.
sizing would be my only concern

Mine too. It’s the only reason I haven’t ordered one for my dog.

Yes each dog harness has its own sizing chart (see example below), or do you mean the instructions could be improved?

Hey guys, an extention from the conversation of sizing and comparisons, what do you guys think about gear segmentation for our dog product line like this:
  • HARNESSES
    1. Everyday Use
    2. Outdoor
    3. Service Dog
  • BACKPACKS
  • COLLARS
  • LEASHES
  • TOTES/POUCHES (treat totes, poop bag pouches)
  • OTHERS (dog beds, recovery collars, etc.)
The main goal is to make browsing easier so that people can differentiate between harnesses. Any input would be appreciated!
