This is a prototype and I'll test it out in "real world scenario" to see how it performs. With the right hardware it would be perfectly safe for any dog. Plastic buckles are a no-no for rappelling but they should be OK for helping the dog over obsticles and general safety in the mountains. It's easy enough po swap the plastic buckles with metal double D rings and make it safe even for rappelling.

For the stitches around the D-rings, did you see anywhere starting ripped?

Tref is great, thank you! But we have another problem keeping us at home - my cars engine blew up. I bought a "new" engine and it also blew up. And now my car is waiting for third engine and it's been well over a month since I last drove it. Fun times, eh.
