About the size: the width seems fine - it is actually a bit more narrow than my bag is with all the ad-on pouches. The hight is a bit of a question: If I measure my bag and ad the extra hight of your bag it would make it +\_ 60cm high to the top strap buckle. This is almost from my collar-bone to my hip given a rough measure - this could have this bag hang on your but while slung over your shoulder.
Have you guys tested it at the office?

Inside the main compartment should have a loop velcro panel.
Good point. Didn't consider this before. Please check the pic of main compartment and where do you think is the best place for this idea so we can still optimize now.

How about removing the glasses case and make it with velcro (hook) on its back and change all the front material into velcro (Loop). So the glasses case can attach wherever you want or the same place it be.

I tested a little bit. For my needs it totally fit cause I don't carry lots of stuffy in my backpack or sling pack. How about sending one of you guys this sample and help us optimize it. So we can upgrade it to the best finally?

Really? Is it smaller than the full set of the original sling pack.

I agree, ad some molle to the front of that opening (above the front zipper) to as the glasses-hard-case.

Andy, my sling as a bit wider that the original 😜 (to be honest, probably too wide 🙈) You have the pics of my edc-sling so you know is has grown a bit out of proportion 😇

((Almost too ashamed to tell, but my bag is 40cm wide and about 30cm high. The original is 16cm wide and 30cm high.))

I’ll happily test is, be it as a test-unit or the one I’ll eventually buy. Either way you will get my input on it.

I would remove that back pocket and strap and make that loop lined. This would add the ability to attach a velcro/hook backed holster and mag inside or any other types of pouches. As mentioned make the zippers ho further down the sides for easier access. Also if going this way on both those zipper pulls have those draw cords

As for the sunglass pocket that is fine as long as it is lined with soft material that won't scratch your glasses.

As mentioned make the zippers ho further down the sides for easier access. Also if going this way on both those zipper pulls have those draw cords but also add a piece of material for easier grabbing. So have your zipper with the cord then a folded piece of Cordura that is like 1 inch by 2 inches folded around the cord and sewn.

As for the sunglass pocket that is fine as long as it is lined with soft material that won't scratch your glasses. I think having the sunglass pouch is a good addition.

Final note is the front pals/molle webbing have that sideways like the first style shown by Rin that you guys where working on.

Sorry I forgot to provide its measurements. It's 30×39×14cm. Is it too big or too small?

Not too big imo, is that overall measurements or main compartment? This pic shows the Clawhammer on the left and another sling pack that measures 17”high by 10.5 “ wide by 4 “deep main compartment. For me the less Velcro on the outside the better, my main use would be hiking and Velcro on the outside of packs just gathers debris. FYI the other pack shown is made with 600D corduroy and sells for $39.95

When there was initial discussion on this pack I envisioned the pack being a front pack on a larger backpack. I measured the front pocket of the Rover 50 and the front pocket is almost exactly the same as you have for the new version Clawhammer. You could make the back mesh panel removable via four snaps and then have PALS webbing under the removable panel.

This back pocket is designed for laptop. How about removing the straps only and change the back material all into loop material (actually is not extra same as the loop material we use for tactical gear; it's soft and we also us inside glass case; Patches can be attached on this kind of material)

This idea looks very awesome! Actually there has a hidden pocket at the back of Clawhammer. If we do in the way as you described, should we remove this hidden pocket?
The shoulder strap can be hidden in this pocket. and there has 2 D-rings can be used for attaching to other backpack.

I’m actually very fond of this extra (hidden) pocket.

It will be hard trying to incorporate everyone’s suggestions. I’ve used the pocket to store the strap and it works well. I guess someone will have to decide if it’s a stand alone pack, keep the hidden pocket, or part of a modular system,PALS webbing.
FYI the existing Clawhammer does attach with the existing d rings. On a bigger pack I think we would want some straps to make it more secure.
